St Augustine insurance
Here is a short story of how St Augustine’s Premier Boutique Insurance Agency, Seaman’s Insurance Group came to be. When people ask how I decided to get into the insurance business, I say, “It was easy, it’s in my blood.” As the son of parents who started their insurance agency when I was a teenager, I had an early introduction to helping people protect their families and assets.
At age 16, I got involved in the agency start-up and began soaking up as much information as I could. After high school graduation, I spent time doing whatever I could: answering phones, filing and pulling individual case files, and going into the community with flyers to help market the family business
My first title was Marketing Representative. But when I turned 18, I studied for and earned my first insurance producer’s license. Then came doing whatever I could to keep building a multi-location, independent insurance agency.
All that work paved a road that took me to where I am today. I earned a degree from Towson University. Then I worked for Zurich Insurance in their claims department, becoming an all lines Claims Adjuster working as a Subrogation Claims file handler, I went on to earn an MBA from the University of Maryland University College and also became an insurance Underwriter.
With 22 years’ experience in the insurance world, the dream of having my own insurance agency stayed with me. On a family vacation on the First Coast, we ventured from Neptune Beach down to St. Augustine http://www.oldcity.com and totally fell in love with the area. We knew this is where we wanted to make our home and start St Augustine’s Premier Insurance Agency, Seaman’s Insurance Group.
What a home it’s become to me, my wife and our four children! While working hard starting up my agency, enjoying and raising a family, I also find time to be active in my church’s men’s club.

As a board member of the Chamber’s Small Business Council and also a Chamber Ambassador, I have the privilege of meeting a lot of great people and learning so much more about our diverse, wonderful community.
Knowing the roots my parents’ planted with their agency in Maryland, I look forward to carrying on that tradition by creating an agency that will serve as St Augustine’s Premier Insurance Agency, Seaman’s Insurance Group with the same family feel and superior service.
